Sarah White
Yoga Therapist — Breathe Yoga Space
Attended: SomaFlow Method Orientation • July 2026
“As the eternal student, I run the risk of learning for learning’s sake. So I’m quite discerning with what to choose to deepen my inquiry with self, become more skilled in observing and guiding through the therapeutic lens, and finding the balance between staying open to new concepts and honouring the depth and breadth of yoga as a therapy.”
Sarah joined the founding SomaFlow Method Orientation seeking a framework that would deepen—not replace—her existing work.
“A framework that asks only the boundaries we place on ourselves, a journey of inquiry, observation, and the fluidity to span many movement and somatic modalities. Simple yet nuanced, accessible yet layered, both for my personal practice and to be shared with others.”
The following day she wrote:
“The ideas seeded from the weekend continue to grow.”
“Yesterday, I layered in the SomaFlow Method with a yoga therapy client I’d already been working with. Using the interoceptive awareness of the pelvic wave and the connection to the Muladhara chakra, she was able to ground, connect, and notice shifts in her sensory awareness so much more.”
“This morning, as I moved through my own practice and prepared for my upcoming classes, the SomaFlow Method became the framework.”
Several weeks later…
“I’ve continued layering the SomaFlow foundations into both my chair yoga and general yoga classes.
I’m discovering there’s a balance between planting the seed and not overwatering with this new lens of teaching.
It’s about becoming discerning with what I offer, allowing one layer to take root before introducing the next.”
