ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Madonna Gott

Founder of The Helical Healing Method and Creator of SomaFlow

Madonna Gott is a somatic educator, writer, and movement philosopher, and the originator of The Helical Healing Method™ — a framework for understanding emotional evolution, identity development, and generational healing.

Her work bridges emotional psychology, movement philosophy, somatic practice, intuitive insight, and lived experience. Through more than two decades of inquiry into healing, movement, and human behaviour, Madonna began recognising a repeating pattern in how people grow. Rather than moving in circles, healing appeared to unfold through a return to familiar emotional territory from a new level of awareness.

This insight became the foundation of The Helical Healing Method™, which describes healing as movement through time, depth, and elevation.

As this work developed, Madonna began to observe that healing does not occur in isolation. The capacity for transformation is shaped not only by internal processes, but by the relational and environmental conditions in which integration unfolds.

This understanding led to the development of the Dual Helix of Healing, which describes healing as a simultaneous expansion of capacity and identity — two strands evolving together within supportive environments.

Alongside this philosophical work, Madonna spent years teaching movement and observing how bodies organise themselves in real time. Through thousands of classes and direct work with clients, she recognised that movement could become a powerful environment for learning, identity change, and nervous system trust.

This led to the creation of SomaFlow™, a movement practice guided by a clear philosophy: that when support, awareness, and exploration are present, the body naturally organises itself with greater intelligence and ease.

Today, Helical Healing provides the framework for understanding transformation, while SomaFlow™ offers the embodied practice through which that transformation can be experienced directly.

Together, these approaches form part of the broader work of The Gott Institute, which explores healing as an ecological process involving body, identity, environment, and time.

Madonna’s teaching is grounded, accessible, and centred on helping people understand themselves with clarity and compassion.

Her mission is simple:

to help people heal in ways that restore trust in themselves — and in doing so, help heal generations past and future.

Madonna lives and teaches in Queensland, Australia, where she continues to develop new pathways for emotional integration, somatic awareness, and conscious connection.
